At Cape Cod Equestrian Center we offer English Saddle Seat horseback riding lessons in the greater Dayton area for ages 3 to adults. We have a tremendous group of over 20 lesson horses that can teach from the very beginner riders all the way through World Champion level riders, and instructors that can do the same.
We cater to all types of interests - whether it is riding just for fun, exercise, love of horses, or the desire to compete at a Local, National, or World level. Whatever your desire, Cape Cod Equestrian Center can take you there!
We offer a variety of lesson options for both children and adults to cater to our students' needs.
All Monday lessons are scheduled 3:30 PM or later, Wednesdays 1:00 PM or later, and Fridays 4:00 PM or later (No morning lessons). Sunday lessons are scheduled from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
*Lesson Package Prices are only available if scheduled on an ongoing weekly basis. Lessons must be pre-paid to be eligible for package pricing - lesson packages cannot be applied to past-due lessons, One-Time lessons, or Individually scheduled lessons.*
Tiny Tot Lessons
Tiny Tot Lessons are a great way to get your young horse lover in the saddle and introduce them to the skills of horseback riding in a fun and nurturing environment!
Private Riding Lessons
Private lessons are a great way to begin your riding career, or perfect the skills you have been working on in your group or semi-private lesson.
Semi-Private Lessons
Semi-Private lessons are available once your instructor feels the student is comfortable controlling the horse at a walk and trot independently. Riders are matched with other CCEC students with similar skill level. Semi-Private lessons are also available for siblings or friends that are 8 years of age or older and would like to begin lessons together.
Group Lessons
Group lessons are a great way to make new friends at the barn and get a little extra saddle time! Group lessons are available to current students who are comfortable riding independently at the trot and are scheduled over an hour time slot, which allows our students to ride for at least 45 minutes and have some hands-on time in the barn with their horse as well.
New Rider Classes
New Rider Class allow our new students to receive the full horseback riding experience! These one hour classes include 20-30 minutes of hands on learning in the barn grooming and tacking the horses, and 30-40 minutes of riding time and is a perfect way to begin your riding journey!
The time for lessons indicates actual on-horse riding time (Except New Rider Classes).
Because we have multiple instructors teaching at the same time, please keep in mind that lesson types are based on the number of students per instructor. Private riding lessons are one student with one instructor, but there may be multiple lessons being held in the riding arena simultaneously.
